About the role 

In this role, you will be designing, implementing and running the Finance function within the company. This includes defining and implementing financial and accounting system, building, mentoring and developing the team, improving business performance and ensuring our compliance. You will create, coordinate and maintain Finance end to end processes.

You must be highly analytical, ROI-focused with a strong track record of driving meaningful growth and engagement. The position demands a strong planning and multi-tasking skills to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is a team player with  a strong business acumen and an insane focus on excellence

What you will do

 

Accounting & Tax 

  • Manage and maintain the financial accounting system and related processes including daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash collection, reconciliation, GL, payroll, …etc.

  • Insure the monthly reconciliation of all accounts
  • Process and supervise the payroll as well as statutory deductions
  • Manages cash flow and petty cash reports for all cities.
  • Maintain 100% score in completeness, timeliness and quality of book keeping and accounting 
  • Organize, evaluate and manage the fiscal functions and performance of the business;

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain a set of reports to measure KPIs on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, Yearly)
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis of the business financial results
  • Ensure the preparation of the budgets: Forecasting and planning process and deliverables
  • Manage financial resources through the implementation, preparation and follow up of the budgeting process

Financial Planning & Analysis 

  • Defining and implementing financial strategy in collaboration with the CEO
  • Effective and timely management of financial planning, analysis and budgeting within the business
  • Evaluate and report on cash flow projections

Transaction Processing 

  • Design, document, manage and optimize the organization and execution of the end-to-end payment and reconciliation processes across the organization in line with business strategies.
  • Manage liaison with various bodies: banks, financial institutions, government officials for various authorizations, social security, tax, etc.

Compliance and Legal

  • Develop local compliance policies and processes and ensure internal governance procedures are in place and up to date 
  • Ensure compliance with all country legal, regulatory and tax requirements
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits and tax filing in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage legal notices and support business teams with applicability of relevant laws to the company.

 Team

  • Lead a team, provide technical and professional development and establishing succession planning
  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the local finance team
  • Overall responsible for the team’s performance in finance department

What you will need

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting. An MBA would be a plus
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in core accounting and finance functions; with at least 2 years in audit
  • In depth knowledge on AP, AR, accounting, IFRS accounting standards, reconciliation and full reporting processes 
  • Prior proven experience in managing projects and teams, playing both operational and strategic roles.
  • Leadership skills - demonstrating ability to manage specialist teams, attract and groom talent and keep staff motivated and engaged
  • Strong influencing and communications skills, clear, direct and focused communication at multiple organization levels. 
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with experience in building function from scratch and managing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, self-start, contribute under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organized, self-driven, obsessive about details and critical thinker
