The British Council is looking for a Business Operations Administration and Security Manager to be based in Algiers.

Job Purpose:

  • You will co-ordinate and ensure safety and security operations and oversee the management of the business administration , local cash handling processes, estates and IT, ensuring that British council standards and relevant policies / procedures are met.

  • You will ensure that business support team is efficiently and effectively deployed to support operations in achieving business objectives and ensuring compliance across the business support areas.


  • You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative and ensure that team performance adds value to the delivery and ensure that all risks , financial compliance and business continuity are identified and managed.


  • You will be well organised, able to plan your work and achieve results quickly and efficiently.
  • You will have good communication and IT skills and be a pro-active member of the Country Leadership team.
  • You will have to work in English to at least IELTS 6, and fluent in French or/and Arabic too.
  • This post will suit someone with at least 03 year work experience in administration and managerial experience.
