Quotation and technical support:

  • The QTPS / Sales Services responsible is owner for an optimal customer care in the area of either Chemicals, Consumables, Life Science or Equipment Instrument as part of his commercial, consulting, and administrative work.
  • Customer satisfaction combined with a sense of income and cost characterizes his attitude of work.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities (List in order of importance):

  • Processing of customer quote inquiries and technical advice
  • Technical preparation and processing of quotes
  • Customer Support by Phone, Email and Chat: Active proposal of VWR portfolio well balancing the specific customer needs and company brand strategy
  • Pricing and preparation of quotations in close collaboration with Sales Representatives and QTPS manager
  • Independent collection, tracking and control of supplier special prices
  • Active selling through competent advice and implementation of sales promotion measures
  • Active Follow-up of Open Quotes to increase Quote success rate
  • Active use of the tools Athena, Inbound DB, SAP, VWR Web shop, Qlikview
  • Preparation of tenders choosing the right products based on customer specifications and preparation of the related documentation

Qualifications (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

·        Completed science education: University degree with professional experience in technical products, preferably in specialized trade

·        Direct Laboratory Work Experience

·        Comprehensive product and service knowledge

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

·        Solid Experience of common MS Office applications and SA

·        Secure appearance on the phone and via other means of communication such as email, chat etc.

·        Strong Customer Service orientation

·        Strong sense of responsibility towards assigned activities, customer needs and company Goals

·        Proactive behaviour and constructive problem-solving attitude

·        Commitment and enthusiasm are reflected in a team-oriented, analytical, and goal-oriented way of working

·        French  / Good English level

·        Willingness for further education and development
