At Roche, we believe data analytics methods can facilitate physicians’ effort to provide better care. As the Data and Analytics Chapter, we are building a Talent Internship Program to leverage Data & Advanced Analytics for patients in Algeria as part of a broader program in Africa. By joining this program, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge in academia, working with our data engineers, data analytics and data scientists around the world with a diversified background and culture. You will be working in highly cross-functional teams with people from wide range of technical skills (medical, commercial, access) .

Key Responsibilities:
As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will research and implement data analytical techniques and methodologies based on different sources of data that will enable our business partner to make their decisions. The responsibilities include yet not limited to:
● Marketing intelligence, which includes predictive analytics, competition behaviors, customer ROI analysis, and profiling, etc.;
● Real World Data analytics: Investigating existing data, analyze the data to find insight that would benefit our research and business;
● Aware of the latest research outcome and able to digest the state-of-the-art methods to find opportunities to apply on our practical questions;
● Working with business and informatics partners to architect, design, prototype and deliver data and analytics products
● Graduate level (master or phd ongoing) quantitative academic ground in computer science/ statistics/ operational research/ mathematics, etc.
● Ability to translate business requests into quantitative definitions, as well as interpret the scientific models and outcomes as business stories, including visualizations and info-graphics.
● Hands-on programming experience (Python, C++, etc.) along with understandings or knowledge of statistical and machine learning models.
● Understanding and knowledge in statistical methodologies and machine learning is required. He or she will be working on building scientific models or algorithms that provide insight and outcomes based on the data and questions we have.
● Discover opportunities for data acquisition and develop scalable data set processes for data modeling, mining and production.
● Good communication skills, the ability to digest the business quickly, and also understanding of visualization methods.
● Keen on expanding your experience and leveraging data analytics methodologies in a world leading pharmaceutical company.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize within an interdisciplinary environment that includes scientists, engineers, business and consultants
● Fluency in English is required
