Activities : 

  • Equinor, entered Algeria in 2003 following the purchase of 50% of BP shares in the gas-condensate field In Amenas and 49% of BP shares in the dry gas field In Salah. These two deals were ratified by Algerian authorities in 2004 and we established our office in Algiers the same year.
  • Equinor has 31,9 % working interest in the dry gas field In Salah Gas which came on stream in 2004 with an annual production of ~ 44,000 bbl/day of dry gas
  • Equinor has 45,9 % working interest in the gas/condensate field In Amenas which came on stream in 2006 with an annual production of ~ 20,000 bbl/day of LPG/condensate.
  • For both these licences Equinor is Joint Operator with Sonatrach and BP in a Joint Venture (JV). About 32 Equinor employees are seconded into the JV organisation. 
  • As part of the DPI VNA ALG organisation, the position has the following tasks and responsibilities;


  • Country Record Information Management (RIM)
  • Schedule, arrange, and prepare bimonthly Management Committee Meetings
  • Schedule, arrange and prepare Management Face to Face meetings abroad
  • Take and translate minutes of security committee meeting with partners- quarterly       
  • Translate the minutes of Management Joint Meetings with partners (conseil de de gestion)- quarterly
  • Provide administrative support for the Management Committee Members.
  • Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support for the DPI ALG, DPI North Africa, and Venezuela Management Committee
  • Deal with administrative problems and inquiries as appropriate.
  • Deal with Country Manager’s travel expenses
  • Arrange flight and hotel bookings for Country Manager
  • Handle and manage Country Manager diary
  • Arrange meetings with Partners and other stakeholders when needed
  • Assist expatriates in their visa processes- establish contacts with the Algerian consulate abroad when needed
  • Deal with the internal communication in the office
  • Assist in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects (gatherings, executives visit to Algeria..etc)
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain the Management Committee annual plan




  • University degree in related area (Bachelor/Master degree)
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge to Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc) and Office365
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Excellent oral and written English and French
