  • Implement and monitor a tactical plan around product promotion based on the accurate understanding of stakeholder’s needs, market trends and competitor activities, in line with marketing strategy.
  • Ensure that all resources (human & financial & technical) are optimally used and deployed in order to achieve the set targets. 
  • Maintains a high level product related knowledge and skills.


  • Ensure that all stakeholders’ needs are accurately and proactively answered by the Field Force. 
  • Monitor and challenge the key performance indicators related to sales force effectiveness (segmentation, targeting, frequencies, number of calls, call plan adherence). 
  • Ensure that all product specific information is cascaded to the relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to support the various business processes (promotional materials and communication). 
  • Ensure that promotional forums (such as workshops, round-tables, sponsored meetings, etc.) are planned in tactical plan and facilitated in order to value Roche products and bring an added value. 
  • Ensure the accurate reporting from the team to monitor the planned actions & strategies. 
  • Ensure that corrective actions are timely put in place.

 People focus: 

  • Provide leadership and direction by demonstrating the Roche core values and leadership commitments. 
  • Validate accurately the field force monthly expenses.  
  • Continuous development of knowledge and skills of all the field staff members, through personal coaching. 
  • Actively contribute to the definition of individual objectives based on SMART model and analyze individual achievements, review them with each team member and implement appropriate measures. 
  • Take part in the recruitment of the new Medical Representative and makes sure that they receive all the training and the information necessary for their induction and further professional ramp up. 
  • To make sure that the team members have knowledge in medical, product and  market environment necessary to effective promotion. 
  • To place in harmony all human, material and promotional resources in order to improve the business. 
  • To take care of the respect of the medical visit regulation and the respect of Roche ethics, Code of conduct and functional guidelines.



  • Scientific degree with experience in Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • 5 or more years' work experience in the same position.
  • A minimum of 2 years' previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry.
  • Previous management experience as well as Diabetology field is preferred.

 Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrable abilities to manage wider field responsibilities to include integration across multiple territories/accounts, etc.
  • Can lead, develop and motivate others.
  • Can organize and prioritize the work of others; as such, has exceptional personal organizational & time management skills.
  • Outstanding influencing, negotiation & presentation skills; demonstrable through considerable achievements in key accounts of responsibility.
  • Exceptional selling skills and a strong grasp and application of best practice selling methodologies, practices, techniques, tools and the like.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal & partnering skills: has proven abilities to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional.
  • Strong customer orientation/focus.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Fluent written and verbal French/ English (an asset).
