Responsibility for running the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing site, along with other tasks, most notably, assuring quality, customer services, product efficiency, labor and overheads efficiency and securing proper spending controls.
Lives up the mission and the vision of the company.
Secures compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations and with the International Quality Management Systems.
Primary responsibility is to supervise the operating staff and oversee the efficient operations and maintenance of all building systems, including the day-to-day training of the operating staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plans and manages the plant budget
- Participates in facilities remodeling, new construction, and other planning activities.
- Monitors construction and repair projects.
- Increases production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Is responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocates resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal results
- Implements strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Monitors operations and triggers corrective actions
- Manages plant staff, including selection, appraising and scheduling
- Provides training and support aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff.
- Shares a trusting relationship with the plant staff and recruits, manages and develops plant staff
- Recommends salary, promotional, disciplinary, termination and other personnel actions.
- Collects and analyzes data to find places of waste or overtime
- Commits to plant environmental, safety and health policies and procedures
- Develops systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Addresses employees’ issues or grievances
- Stays up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
- Supervises and directs staff and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities.
- Ascertains corrective actions required to restore to satisfactory operating condition of malfunctioning equipment.
- Maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory surveys and other client based audits.
- Secures that building systems shortcomings are corrected and secures response to operational and emergency situations.

- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or Business Administration
- English as a second language is a must.

- Prior Service – 5-7 years of relevant experience in Production or Facilities Management. 2-3 years in Plant Management position is desirable.
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices.
- Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training.
- Coaching and Developing Others -- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Developing Objectives - Establishing long-range objectives based on strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Communicating with Persons Outside Organization -- Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external entities. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others -- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Project Management -- Experience with project management lifecycle, processes, and tools.

- Ability to effectively work in large, cross-functional project teams with subject matter experts of quality, manufacturing operations, supply chain management, process engineering, product development, commercial, legal, finance.
