The first Turkish company on the list of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, Abdi İbrahim was founded as a small pharmaceutical laboratory in 1912. It serves medicine and people through its pharmaceuticals and its pioneering, innovative style, and is today a respected, rapidly growing and elite player in the Turkish pharmaceutical market. Its powerful vision, dynamic structure and modern outlook have made it the leader in the Turkish pharmaceutical market in turnover and total box sales since 2003. Moreover, it has close to 3,500 qualified employees, making it the largest employer in the sector.  In addition, it has the biggest marketing-sales staff.

Abdi İbrahim, which has great standing in the sector on account of its 150-brand portfolio, a 350-million box production capacity, a 14,500-track logistics transaction capacity and close to 30 licensers, is becoming an international success, exporting to more than 20 countries in four main regions.

Abdi İbrahim founded the first accredited R&D center in Turkey and devotes 5% of its annual turnover to R&D. Between 2008-2011, it led the R&D sector in patent applications.

Operating both nationally and internationally, Abdi İbrahim not only aims at licensing in Europe and North America, through license purchasing, contract manufacturing and development, but also growing by entering other strategic markets.

Abdi İbrahim has a deep respect for man and the environment and has received awards from the Ministery of Energy and Natural Resources for its activities in these areas. Signing the Global Compact in 2010, Abdi İbrahim conducts all its business on the basis of reliability, transparency and accountability.
